| Deep beyond the Forest of
Fears and just off the coast of the Material World there
lies a tiny island called Mystic Isle. It’s surrounded
by a protective pink haze through which only the
humblest of hearts find entry.
The island is covered with beauty
beyond belief and it’s said that those who dwell here
understand the secrets of the Place Beyond Sorrow. They
are the embodiment of love and wisdom and are ageless.
The Elders of the island are the ones who are most wise
and ancient, having been on earth for many years. They
spend their days in perpetual prayer for all that is
needed in the world .They live simply and without
desire. Existing without the veil of material things,
the Elders can hear the voices and teachings of all the
spiritual beings in the universe.
They hum to the vibration of
nature and all living things are in balance around them.
It is because of this that their prayers are very pure
and powerful. The pink haze around the island is a
protective cloak of love that emanates from the strength
of their convictions.
One of the other beautiful and
loving people who moved to Mystic Isle was a woman named
Devija. She brought her two sons, David and Christopher
to the island when they were very young to learn the
ways of the Wise and All Knowing Ones. The children
spent their days being mischievous and playful as most
healthy boys do. They brought laughter to the island
with their silliness and it wasn’t long before they grew
into fine caring young men.
David was always thinking of
ways to comfort those who were sad while Christopher
liked to make everyone laugh.
On one very auspicious day,
sixteen year old David visited with the wisest and most
ancient of the Elders. As he sat at her knee he
expressed an eternal wish to become a knight . He wanted
to be the chosen one to whisk sadness away from sick
children and deliver their prayers to the Elders of
Mystic Isle.
He knew that he would need to
live in the Place Beyond Sorrow to do this.
When it came time for him to
leave the material world he told the Elders that he
would place the names of the children who needed prayers
on the altar every evening.
He embraced his family and
reminded them that whenever they missed him they could
leave a flower for him on the altar. He would reply by
sending them a dragon fly to let them know that he was
nearby. “Know that it is like I’m in the next room,” he
assured them.
“Do what you have always done
best and been happiest at.” he said to his brother
Christopher. “Keep the children smiling for me as they
become well again.” In honor of his courage and the
beauty in his heart the Most Ancient One of the Elders
dubbed him Sir Devadut, Messenger of the Gods, Eternal
Knight of The Magical Moon.
To this day the Elders lay flowers on the altar as gifts
for Sir Devadut and the All Knowing Ones, as they pray.
These flowers are picked from the fields and in the
woods where Sir Devadut and Christopher once laughed and
played as children.
Christopher has found a way to
keep children happy in the Material World by making ice
cream for them from the healthy vibrations of his inner
smile. In honor of the place he and his brother loved,
he has created a very special ice cream called, Mystic
Isle Merry Mint. When children taste its mystical flavor
they smile and feel happy.
