Ricky Hoffman We are very thankful this Thanksgiving day to have been blessed with knowing Ricky Hoffman. Ricky had a way of focusing on and being grateful for the simple things in life.

His beautiful Light will remain with us always and we extend our gratitude to his family for sharing him with us. We continue to keep the Hoffman families in our thoughts this holiday season.

Love ,
Your Magical Moon Friends and Family

A letter to the Magical Moon foundation from Jackie Bacon. Jackie was one of the Ursuline Academy students who worked every day in 2009 at the Magical Moon Farm her last month of High school doing community service. Jackie adopted Sir Ricky the Relentless, Knight of Reflection as her Knight in shining armor. Click here to read.

A Christmas gift in Memory of Sir Ricky
The spirit of Christmas comes alive when people come together and give from their heart to others who are in need. My friend and customer Pat lost her son Ricky in November after his 2 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. Ricky was a member of the Magical Moon Farm and known as Sir Ricky the Relentless. I know you know Mary Kay is a product that delivers and I would love to deliver a percentage of the sales for the month of December to Donna Green's place in Marshfield. This is where Ricky became a knight of the roundtable and was able to escape the daily reality of the disease he was battling. When you place an order this December 22% will be donated to this foundation. The percentage figure is significant for Ricky was 11 when he left this world to return home to God and I wanted to match those young brave years. I can have that item you are looking for a teacher, bus driver, postman, friends and family delivered to your door wrapped. Check out my website for great ideas for gifts under 15.00 and I know you will be happy to know that your gift you purchased is helping 6 new knights that are entering the round table.
Blessings on this holy and amazing holiday season!

Sunday, April 12th
Easter Egg Hunt at the Magical Moon Farm

This past Easter Sunday the Magical Moon Farm was buzzing with the laughter and excitement of children eager to find as many hidden eggs as possible.

some of the highlights of the morning were My Easter Bunny himself, friend of Adam Parent surprising the children with his presence and posing in front

of the four story Moon barn for a photo opportunity with the children. Ian Murray,  photographer for the Magical Moon Foundation was there

as always, capturing the magic that was in the air and on the faces of hopeful guests. The Easter bunny was very pleased that among the crowd

he felt the warmth and support of many wonderful people who were eager to help stuff and hide eggs for him. He has such a busy schedule you know!

The children helped him out at the end of the hunt by emptying their many treasured eggs and recycling the empty egg shells into the moon wheel barrel.

The bunny is all about making the earth greener so more children don't get sick.

Sunday afternoon April 12th

Jim Shipsky visited the Magical Moon Farm Sunday afternoon. He came to offer his architectural expertise in designing a very cool Garden house.

This is not going to be your usual shed. It will be a structure that we can store garden tools, pot new plants for the garden and give agricultural lectures and classes on organic gardening.

Don Holland from Marshfield has generously offered to be in charge of building the shed. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people who give of their time and talents to help build this dream.

Anyone who would like to help them please call donna at 781 837 1618. We are particularly looking for carpenters and stone masons. We also need material donated.

We have some creative stone projects that we are about to undertake. Old world craftsmen are highly valued here!

The design of the building will be of fairy tale and Irish cottage flavor.

We will keep you up to date on all the exciting news.

Monday, April 13th.

We got the call last night. The Bees are in! Yes, the Magical Moon bees are finally here from South Carolina to take up residence at the Magical Moon Farm.

Doug Lichfield from Hillbilly Acres and part of the teaching staff of the Magical Moon Foundation Farm will be conducting classes on all kinds of agricultural topics.

One of them will be bee keeping for the production of honey. The bees will also help our organic garden to be both balanced and happy.

Yes, I said happy! The Magical Moon Farm has a happy healthy energy about it that can only be experienced first hand by a visit.

Saturday, April 20th
Visit from Nancy Thurston and Ellen Brown from the Harbor Methodist Church of Scituate.
The wonderful people from the Harbor Methodist Church of Scituate have expressed their desire to continue their community outreach work with the Magical Moon. We discussed the many projects that we have here at the farm and the overwhelming amount of work and people it takes to run the foundation and to keep our dream alive. After talking for over an hour we came to the conclusion that we need to have an appreciation day at Hillbilly Acres in Scituate for Doug Lichfield who gives countless hours to the foundation and is now directly involved in setting up Connection to the Earth classes at the Magical Moon Farm.   Doug is the person who was in charge of building the newly built Water feature in the Magical Moon Garden and grows plants  for the foundation garden and farm stand. He has given us a greenhouse to use at his Site in Scituate so we can get a head start on the season.

This man's livelihood as a nurseryman has been severely shaken this year, but he has chosen to reach out to help others despite his own hardships. " focus on the positive " Doug says.  We need to be grateful for everything that comes our way and overlook the things that make us sad."

We've decided that this two tour Viet Nam vet who is always helping others with his talents and big heart should be given a hand himself to say thank you.
All those who want to join us in potting plants, planting seeds of hope, and cleaning up Doug's Nursery, Hillbilly Acres  please call or show up for.
